Why you should help
On January 12th, 2010, an earthquake registering 7.0 on the Richter scale struck the country of Haiti, killing over 150,000 people and leaving millions without homes, food, or clean water. Even before the earthquake, Haiti was in need of our help. It is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and ranks 149th out of 182 countries on the UN's Human Development Index. Now, they need our help more than ever. By contributing to aid organizations like Partners in Health, we can help Haiti to recover and build back stronger than ever.
About Partners In Health
Partners In Health (PIH) is a non-profit organization that has been providing medical care in Haiti for over twenty years. They believe in providing high-quality medical care to patients in developing countries - the same kind of care that we benefit from here.
